The new sibling to the original ASUS MeMO Pad – the 10-inch MeMO Pad Smart will go on sale in the U.S. on Tuesday, March 5 and two days after (March 7) in the U.K. The inexpensive tablet will retail at $299 (approx. RM925) apiece, cheaper than the price tag of around $360 (approx. RM 1100) in Thailand.
ASUS MeMO Pad Smart ME301T sports a 1.2GHz quad-core Tegra 3 processor, a 10.1-inch WXGA screen (1280 x 800 resolution), 16GB of internal storage (expandable via microSD card), 5GB of lifetime ASUS Webstorage space, 1GB of RAM, a 5MP rear camera, 1.2MP front-facing camera, Bluetooth 3.0, Wi-Fi, micro USB slot and micro HDMI slot.
The 19Wh Li-polymer battery gives the tablet about 8.5 hours of battery life, and the tablet measures 10.4-inch x 7.1-inch x 0.4-inch and weighs 580 g.
MeMO Pad Smart runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and comes with a number of exclusive ASUS apps. The Android tablet will be available in midnight blue, fuchsia pink, or crystal white colours.
