WinRAR has been my favorite file compression and archiving software. It has a feature that enables archive creators to lock RAR and SFX executable archive files. When the archive file is locked, the file can’t be modified and is protected from any content changes.
However, WinRAR locking algorithm is not foolproof. If you would like to freely modify the content of the locked archive files, there is exactly a way to unlock the protected WinRAR archive files. WinRAR Unlock is a lightweight Windows utility that allows you to easily unlock the protected WinRAR archive files including SFX executable files, just by patching a few bytes.
This utility is portable and requires no installation on your computer. To use WinRAR Unlock, launch the application from the downloaded zip file and browse for the protected archive file that you wish to unlock. Click the “Start” button to unlock WinRAR archive files. That’s all.
Since this tool is portable, you can bring it together with you in your pendrive.
