Stickies is an open source sticky note writer application that enables you to create virtual sticky notes directly on your Windows desktop. It comes with the alarm sound functionality to act as a reminder.
You can open up to 3 sticky notes to jot down tasks and messages in the note. Plus, you can insert the date and time stamp to your notes by clicking the File > Date Stamp. All notes are kept in a text file (sticky.txt). You must be extremely careful not to delete the text file. Your note contents will be lost if you delete the file by mistake.
To set the alarm, go to Edit > Alarms. Select the date and time, enter the text message and click Set Alarm.
The note’s contents can be formatted to include font, font size and colour. Simply go to Tools > Settings to configure them. Plus, you can adjust the sticky note’s size.
Stickies is portable and is compatible with Windows XP, Vista and 7.
