Panda Cloud Antivirus 2.9 BETA released with redesigned interface and new Wi-Fi Monitor1 min read

Panda Cloud Antivirus 2.9 Beta

Panda Cloud Antivirus has been around for quite a while. Version 1.0 was officially released on 2009. On 2012, the cloud-based security application hit another milestone with the release of version 2.0. Now, Panda Security is ready to bring version 3.0 to the public.

The new version is not yet here, instead Panda Security has released the beta version of Panda Cloud Antivirus 2.9. The good news is the beta version offers a sneak preview of Panda Cloud Antivirus 3.0. So you shall know what to expect from version 3.0.

First and foremost, the security application has been redesigned with a brand new tile-based interface, which matches the look and feel of the latest version of Windows operating system. Yes, this is a welcome move from Panda Security in giving a better visual display to the application. Sorry to say that, the old interface is obsolete. Don’t you think? 🙂

Every module is displayed as a tile, at which you can access it by clicking on the tile. You can also rearrange the tiles to your liking or remove any one of them from the interface. Of all the modules, Wi-Fi Monitor is the one and only newly-added module. Other existing modules include virus scanner, firewall, process monitor and USB vaccine. The Wi-Fi monitor displays a list of all devices that are currently connected to your network. You can straight away find out if there is an intruder on your Wi-Fi network. Hopefully no one is stealing your Wi-Fi connection.

Last but not least, the new version is lighter and more secure than ever, thanks to the significantly improved protection capabilities and product performance.

Panda Cloud Antivirus 2.9 BETA is compatible with Windows 8.1, Windows 8, Windows 7, Vista and XP.
