Do you want to add a nice background image to your USB drive’s window background? Let me show you how you can give your usb drive a background image. It’s simple and doesn’t require any software.

Set Background Image for USB Drive

Step 1

Copy the following code to your text editor or Notepad. Change the IconArea_Image= to the name of your image file. For example,type IconArea_Image=windows_7.jpg.  Then, save it as “desktop.ini” without the quotes.

[ExtShellFolderViews]
{BE098140-A513-11D0-A3A4-00C04FD706EC}={BE098140-A513-11D0-A3A4-00C04FD706EC}
[{BE098140-A513-11D0-A3A4-00C04FD706EC}]
Attributes=1
IconArea_Image=your background picture

Step 2
Place the “desktop.ini” file and your image file in your USB drive. You can hide the files if you want.

Step 3
Refresh or re-plug your USB device to see the result. Enjoy!

Note : You can try Windowpaper XP if you want to customize your Windows folder’s background with wallpaper.
