DropResize is a free application for Windows that allows you to automatically resize your images by simply drag and drop the images to a specified folder. Currently, this drag-and-drop image resizer only supports jpeg images.

To use DropResize, simply specify the folderĀ to be watched and any image dropped into that folder will be immediately resized based on the settings you specified. You can choose to adjust the image to width or height. The maximum resize limit is 1600 pixels.

Auto Resize Images by Drag and Drop to Specified Folder

DropResize is portable and is compatible with Windows XP, Vista and 7. It will much better if I can specify more than one folder to be watched. Each folder to deal with different image size. And hopefully more formats will be supported in the future.

  1. I like the drag and drop feature. I have have been using Microsoft’s tool which works very well for me. The size reduction is amazing but it lacks the drag and drop capability.
