Device Doctor - Free Windows Driver UpdaterDevice Doctor is a freeware application that keeps your Windows hardware device drivers up to date by scanning your computer hardware for out-dated drivers and returns a list of new available driver updates for your devices. Moreover, this free Windows driver updater can identify the right drivers for the “Unknown Hardware Devices” in the Windows Device Manager.

Device Doctor is extremely easy to use. On the main window, just click on the “Begin Scan” button to begin scanning your hardware devices for driver updates.

Device Doctor queries their manufacturer driver database and immediately fetches the correct driver files for your hardware devices. Then, just click on “Download Update” button next to the device you want to update to download the latest installer for that driver.

After you scan your hardware devices, save a copy of the scan result. Bring it to other computer with active Internet connection and download the latest driver installers.

Device Doctor has been a favorite of mine for a while. I found that its simplicity compared to other similar products gave it the upper hand.

I am very disappointed with this software. It identified 13 drivers out of date, of which 5 were INTEL CHIPSET DRIVERS which I had just updated, and of course when it went to install it told me the dirver I had on my system was newer, so I declined to install. But my point is that this waste time, can create errors and conflicts hence I suggest they polish their SW a lot before trying to sell it.  would never pay one cent for a SW that performs like that. In addition it identified drivers for update that DRIVER AGENT another SW did not flag for update and rightfully so. More a pain than a pain solver.
