What can you do with the spare storage in your cloud-based storage account such as Dropbox, Skydrive or Box.net? Previously, we’ve shown on how to backup your WordPress site to Dropbox? Well, not everyone runs WordPress, right? But we know what most people if not all, do online. They at least surf Facebook, right? And there are increasing number of people who use Instagram photo sharing service.

Facebook and Instagram are popular places to showcase your photos online. As the days go by, we believe you should have uploaded quite a lot of photos to these photo sharing services. Nowadays, we tend to keep every copy of our files including photos in multiple locations. This is actually a good practice for us make duplicates and store them in somewhere safe. In this case, you might want to backup photos from Facebook or Instagram to other available online storage options such as Dropbox, Skydrive or Box.net.

To help the process a painless one, you should look into a third party application like PicBackMan. It make photo backups much easier, effortlessly and automated. The freeware enables you to backup photos from Facebook, Instagram, Foursquare or even from your local machine, and take the backups to various cloud-based storage services and photo sharing services. Click on Associate Account button, then choose to backup photos from Facebook, Instagram or Foursquare to your desired destinations. Once done, click the Upload button at the bottom of the window to begin the backup process.

Thereafter, PicBackMan will constantly monitor your local machine, Facebook, Instagram or Foursquare account for new photos and backup them automatically to desired destinations.
