AniWeather Displays Animated Weather Conditions in Google Chrome1 min read

AniWeather is an extension for Google Chrome that gives you easy access to weather information of over 77,000 locations worldwide, directly from Google Chrome web browser.

After installation, the AniWeather icon will sit next to the Chrome’s address bar. From the icon, you can learn about the current weather condition and the temperature of a particular location.

Clicking on the icon will reveal the five-day weather forecast with detailed weather information including the temperature, wind speed, huminity, PoP (Probability of Precipitation), etc.

What’s made this extension so cool is that the weather information is presented in an attractive interface, where you can view the weather conditions in appealing animations. You get to see the sun shines, clouds undulate, rain falls, and lightning flashes. Check out the live demo here. 🙂

By default, the extension will display weather conditions for New York city. You can always change the default location of your choice from the option page.

Also in the option page, you can change the units for temperature and wind speed.

AniWeather is not only available for Google Chrome, it is also available for free download on Firefox, iPhone and iPad.
