Gmail LogoCurrently, there are 35 nice themes (including 4 new themes added on 3 Sep) for you to pick from, to dress up your gmail. The four new themes are Orcas Island, High Score, Turf and Random.

Random Gmail Theme

Four New Gmail Themes

The fourth theme is a bit different from the rest of the themes. It is not actually a theme. By selecting the Random theme feature, your gmail will look different every day. Gmail will pick and display a random theme every day.

So every day when you check for email in your Gmail account, you will see different theme. The Random theme feature will cycle through all the available 34 themes (excluding random theme, of course!). To set random Gmail theme, from your Gmail account, go to “Settings”, then click on the “Themes” tab and select the “Random” theme option. Done!

If you hate to see the same old Gmail theme every time you log into your Gmail, select the “Random” theme and your Gmail inbox will look different every day.

It seems that the random theme includes themes that are not part of the 34 listed themes. I have one right now that is a bunch of pink flowers. I don’t see that theme among the 34 listed. There is also a variation on the Zoozimps theme; the Zoozimps are in sports poses.

Does anyone know of a full list of themes for Gmail?

Nevermind, I stand corrected. The pink flowers is part of the Cherry Blossoms theme (I thought that was just one of the solid color themes), and the Zoozimps sports poses is part of the Zoozimps theme based on the time of day.

A friend and I have noticed that the “random” theme is the same for everybody. Both of our themes change to the same theme, consistently over the past week.
