Whenever you need nice sound effects, you can search for one in FindSounds. When you need some icons for designing your desktop, your site or for whatever purposes, ICONlook is a good search site where you can find and download your desired icons.

To use ICONlook, simply enter a search term and click “Look”. ICONlook will search over the site for icons in a number of different sizes and display the finding to you. Upon clicking the icon from the search result, you will be brought to a page that provides links to the source and the license of the icon file.

Most of the icon files are licensed ( I think so ). Still there are some icons with unknown source and license. That’s let me wondering whether the icon file is legitimate or not to use.
Well, ICONlook is not the only icon search engine around, Icon Finder is another search site that you can try out.
