Facebook has updated its Messenger app for the Android platform. The latest Messenger app (version 2.0.2) now sports a new look and added a few features to give Android users better experience exchanging messages with their Facebook friends.
Other than the new design for conversations, the new update now gives you the ability to add selected (or your most favored) Facebook friends to the top of your Favourites. In addition to that, you can text your contacts right from Messenger. This way, you can access your text messages and Facebook messages right from the same place. However, this feature is only available to selected Android phones.
Moreover, you can quickly check who’s currently available for chatting by simply swiping left anywhere in the app.
Last but not least, Facebook Messenger for Android also includes many bug fixes as well as improved speed and reliability. The same update shall reach its iOS counterpart soon. So iOS users, you gotta wait.
