Not sure whether it is because of strong demand or short supply, one thing for sure, Apple has now run out of iPads!
By Saturday morning (U.S. time), Apple has changed the ship date for iPad pre-orders, originally set to guarantee delivery by next Saturday on April 3, has been pushed back to Tuesday, April 12.
Customers who had already pre-ordered are still scheduled to get their iPads with Wi-Fi models next Saturday. So don’t worry about that.
Only for customers who pre-order their iPads after the changing delivery date, will have to wait a little longer to get their hands on iPads. Plus, Apple is no longer accepting the reservation for iPad to be pick-up at Apple Store.
Anyhow, I believe many late customers don’t mind waiting a little longer for iPads. 
P.S. : I am waiting patiently for iPad to get to Malaysia.
